“And other seeds fell into good soil and produced grain, growing up and increasing and yielding thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.” – Mark 4:8
We see our role as partnering with parents/carers and the church to nurture, love, and feed the young people; sharing the gospel of Jesus, and teaching the Bible. We believe that relationship is vital in order for this to be effective, and that’s why we try to spend as much time as possible with the young people. We ordinarily run 5 groups:
- ‘4:8’ is our Friday night youth group with games, musical worship and teaching.
- ‘Word Up’ is a teaching session during the main church service on Sunday mornings.
- ‘Soul Sistas’, ‘Funk Soul Brothers’ and ‘Vital’ are Bible studies that take place every other Tuesday.
As lockdown restrictions have allowed, our youth leaders and young people have enjoyed garden visits and socially distanced walks since March. Some of our young people have signed up for Bible plans that they can do together on their phones and have been part of the church’s Bible course Zooms, and ‘attended’ summer festivals online.
We love to see new young people coming along to our different groups, and everyone is welcome. If you would like to meet up, or talk through any of the above, please do get in touch
