For the last 3 years we have run a holiday club for Primary School children. Our themes have been 'Razzamatazz Robots', 'Junior Heroes' and 'Monsters Stink!'.
The underlying theme of 'Razzamatazz Robots' was to demonstrate that God made us in His image, we are unique and special. However, because He didn't make us to be robots, all behaving the same way, we sometimes make mistakes. We learned that God loves us so much that He came to save and forgive us.
'Junior Heroes' was all about different children who God used in the Bible to be His heroes. The children learned how they can be super heroes for Jesus and that Jesus is our ultimate and perfect super hero!
At holiday club we find that the messier we get the better time we have, so we have lots of slime, foam, water, cold spaghetti, syrup and much more!
At the end of the week the children take away many happy memories that consist of lively action songs, beautiful crafts that illustrate and reinforce the Bible stories they have been learning, special moments with their friends and group leaders, and most of all the time they have spent with God, getting to know Him either for the first time or getting to know him more.
Next year's holiday club will take place 29th March-1st April 2016. More info to follow nearer the time!
